Usability and quality audits

User testing and research
Without user testing, the design of a webpage or email is based on assumptions. There are two methods we use to test-drive the user experience. Firstly, user testing, which involves observing how a ‘real’ sample of your target audience fares when we assign them individual actions to carry out on, say, an existing website or a test-site we’ve designed.
When budgets and timescales don’t allow for full user testing, a heuristic review is a good alternative. Here our experts put themselves into the shoes of users, applying judgement based on their own personal and professional experience alongside trusted UX principles.
Either way, the evidence we gather will give us a sound basis for our UX recommendations.
A/B or split testing
Split testing is simply trial by comparison – measuring the conversion rates of two live versions of a design to determine the most effective. A handy tactic for an important function of your website, such as online bookings or subscription.
